Lions
Season
May Be
Over
Already

DETROIT
(Tell Us
Det) -
As I
watched
the
Honolulu
blue and
silver
get
embarrassed
on
national
television
Monday
night,
one word
crossed
the
minds of
Lions
fans
across
the
city:
Why? Why
do you
tease us
with
your
unbelievable
level of
talent
only to
disappoint
us? Why
are
amazing,
logic-defying
plays
almost
immediately
followed
up by
amazing,
logic-defying
penalties?
Why do
basic
things
like
catching
and
tackling
seem so
hard to
you?
Questions
like
these
make me
thankful
I gave
up on
this
team 12
years
ago.
Outside
of
Calvin
Johnson,
every
player
on this
offense
is not
good,
including
former
elite
quarterback
Matthew
Stafford.
By the
end of
the game
last
night,
Stafford
had more
dirt on
him than
Kwame
Kilpatrick.
The
offense
stalled
repeatedly
and just
when you
thought
they
would
punch
the ball
in,
Joique
Bell,
whom
people
have
become
infatuated
with his
Wayne
State
representation,
fumbles
at the
goal
line.
The
defense
did what
it could
but that
isn't
saying
much.
Bumper
car
driver
Ndamukong
Suh had
his
moments
but was
constantly
finding
himself
out of
many
plays
which
pretty
much
sums up
his
entire
career
so far.
The
secondary
is
equivalent
to a
bunch of
guys who
signed
up for
internships
at a
large
corporation
but
instead
are
forced
to run
the
company
from the
top.
And for
those
who are
still
hanging
on to
the
"Well we
were
0-16"
excuse,
drop it.
That was
four
years
ago
which is
more
than
enough
time to
turn
your
franchise
around.
Don't
believe
me? Ask
the
Vikings
and
Bengals
how they
did it.
The
difference
between
Martin
Mayhew
and Matt
Millen
is that
the
latter
admitted
he
wasn't
qualified
for the
job.
Is there
hope for
the
future?
Of
course.
But it's
the same
hope
that
Jacksonville
and
Cleveland
have.
However,
if the
front
office
wakes up
next
off-season,
signs
high-impact
players,
lands
some
draft
picks
that
actually
start on
the team
and puts
a
respectable
product
on the
field,
then and
only
then can
you say
they
have
hope.
But for
now, sit
back and
enjoy
the
World
Series
because
it's
more
entertaining
than the
Detroit
Kitties.
