DETROIT BELLE ISLE GRAND PRIX LAUNCHES NEW 2008 WEB SITE DESIGN AT WWW.DETROITGP.COM

DETROIT, MI – As the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix race venue continues its rapid assembly, construction has been completed on the new Internet home of the Grand Prix.

Event officials are proud to unveil a new design complete with new features and new functionality at www.DetroitGP.com. Created in conjunction with new online partner, RACERSITES.com, the enhanced Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix web site provides a complete overview of the Labor Day weekend event while preparing fans for the return of world-class auto racing and family fun to the Motor City, August 29-31, 2008.

“We had a terrific return to racing on the streets of Belle Isle in 2007,” said Bud Denker, Event Chairman of the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. “But we know we’re going to have an even bigger and better event in just a few weeks. We wanted our new web site to reflect the excitement and the new energy at the Grand Prix in 2008 and we believe web users will enjoy their experience and be well-informed for this year’s event when they visit DetroitGP.com.”

Featuring some of the beautiful imagery from last year’s Grand Prix on Belle Isle, visitors to the new site will be able to enjoy a multimedia experience through photography and video highlights from the 2007 event.

Detailed pricing and ticket package options for the upcoming Grand Prix are also featured on the site and fans can purchase tickets online through a direct link to Ticketmaster.com. A complete schedule of events for the 2008 race weekend, as well as a detailed event map, can also be found on the site.

A smooth experience arriving and departing Belle Isle is essential to enjoying the Grand Prix weekend and DetroitGP.com provides detailed information on transportation for the event. During race weekend, there is no public parking for Grand Prix attendees on Belle Isle. Fans need to be aware of the dedicated off-island parking areas, along with the shuttle bus pick-up routes and hours of operation and the new site will provide this information along with updates leading up to the race.

One of the new aspects of the site includes the latest news and photos from the three racing series competing on Belle Isle – the American Le Mans Series, the IndyCar Series and, new for 2008, the SPEED World Challenge GT Championship.

Interesting information on Belle Isle Park and its historical landmarks are also available at DetroitGP.com along with a detailed history of the rich racing tradition of the Grand Prix in Detroit.

Web users will also be able to learn about becoming a member of the Detroit Grand Prix Association (DGPA) – the official volunteer organization of the Grand Prix – and sign up to become a volunteer for this year’s event.

A complete listing of all the 2008 Grand Prix official partners can also be found on the new site, along with links to connect to each partner’s web pages.

All of the latest official merchandise for the 2008 Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix can also be purchased online by connecting to the DetroitGP.com web store. Members of the media interested in covering the Grand Prix will be able to view and download the 2008 media credential application form on the site.

The redesigned Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix website combines power, functionality, information and ease for everyone interested in the 2008 Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.
