Detroit Mercy Men's Basketball Schedule Now All Set

DETROIT - A trip to Wisconsin will begin the year for the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team with the full Horizon League schedule being officially released on Wednesday. The Titans will start league play on the road at Green Bay on Dec. 28 and at Milwaukee on Dec. 30.

A four-game homestand is after that with Wright State (Jan. 5), defending HL champion NKU (Jan. 7), Cleveland State (Jan. 10) and Youngstown State (Jan. 12). The opening game in that span against Wright State is part of the Horizon League's ESPN package and will be televised on either ESPNU or ESPN2.

A road game at IUPUI follows on Jan. 16 and then it will be rivalry time as the Titans host Metro Series-rival Oakland on Jan. 20.

January will end with games at Wright State on Jan. 26 and at NKU on Jan. 28.

The Titans will have four road and four away games in February as the red, white and blue welcome IUPUI on Feb. 2 and UIC on Feb. 4. A four-game road trip is after that as Detroit Mercy visits Oakland on Feb. 9 in a game that will be televised on ESPN2.

The road swing will end with games at Cleveland State (Feb. 14), Youngstown State (Feb. 16) and at UIC (Feb. 19) before the final regular-season homestand has Milwaukee (Feb. 22) and Green Bay (Feb. 24) in town.

The Horizon League Championship returns to downtown Detroit as the brand new, state of the art Little Caesars Arena will be the site for Motor City Madness from March 2-6.

Between non-conference and conference games, Detroit Mercy will have 15 home contests at historic Calihan Hall, which turns 65 years old this season. Add in an exhibition game with Wayne State and a neutral contest at LCA against Michigan and the Titans will play 17 games in the Motor City before the postseason is here.

Back in July, the Titans announced their non-conference schedule which included seven home regular season contests, four games in the 2K Classic and match-ups against Michigan and UCLA.

Season tickets for the men's basketball team are on sale now by contacting Director of Ticket Operations & Sales Justin Hairston at 313-993-1700 ext. 7301.
