become a
sought-after
site for
pick-up

football
and many
other
outdoor
activities.

“We are
very
pleased
with how
the
community
has
embraced
the West
RiverWalk
since it
opened
this
summer,”
said
Mark
Wallace,
president
and
chief
executive
officer
of the
Detroit
RiverFront
Conservancy.
“We are
looking
forward
to our
grand
opening
celebration
so even
more
people
can
experience
this
fantastic
destination
along
the
riverfront.
For the
first
time in
several
decades,
20 acres
of the
riverfront
is open
to the
surrounding
neighborhoods,
and that
is worth
celebrating.”
