Conference

Social
Justice
Ministry
of
Hartford
is
internally
based
but
externally
relevant.
The
ministry
seeks to
not only
meet the
needs of
the
people
currently,
but to
also
prophetically
inquire
why
their
needs
have
gone
unmet.

Freedom

Fire:
The
Fight
for
Liberation
and The
Origin
of Black
Detroit”
will
give
information
to help
participants
understand
Detroit's
turbulent
racial
history.
Vickie
Slaughter
“Researching
and
Telling
the
Stories
of the
African
American
Migration
from the
South,”
will
engage
the
participant
in
dramatic
readings
and role
playing
of the
history
of the
African
American
migration
from the
South.
Dr. Jim
Perkinson
“Apocalypse
in the
Key of
Black,
White,
Red and
Green,”
One
Hundred
Years of
Struggle
in the
City of
the
Detroit.

event

to be
both
educational
and
enlightening
for
everyone.
