Annual
Fireworks
Display
to
Illuminate
the
Detroit
River
Skyline
with
More
Fireworks
than
Ever
Before

- The
Ford
Fireworks
(#fordfireworks2016)
will
light up
the
Detroit
skyline
on
Monday,
June 27
at 9:48
p.m.
with
picturesque
views
visible
in
downtown
Detroit
and
beyond.
Recognized
as one
of the
world’s
largest
and most
magnificent
fireworks
displays,
this
popular
annual
event
produced
by The
Parade
Company
is a
beloved
tradition
of the
city,
enjoyed
by
hundreds
of
thousands
of
spectators
each
year.
As
producers
of The
Ford
Fireworks,
The
Parade
Company
has
hand-selected
the
musical
arrangement
that
Zambelli
Fireworks
Internationale
will
stage
along
the
Detroit
River.
It will
be
choreographed
again by
the
world-renowned
Patrick
Brault
who has
years of
experience
designing
pyrotechnic
displays
including
the 2010
Winter
Olympics
in
Vancouver.
New
this
year,
the 2016
Ford
Fireworks
will
feature:
• More
fireworks
than
ever
before
with
more
than
10,000
pyrotechnic
effects
which
will be
visible
for
miles
along
the
Detroit
River
• New
ghost
shell
fireworks,
in which
the
firework
shell
opens in
black
with
sudden
color
explosions
in
circular
shapes
• More
Dahlia
fireworks
and
choreographed
color
schemes
to match
the
music
selection
and
theme,
“Go
Forward
Detroit,”
a salute
to the
progress
of
Detroit
and
bright
future
of our
city

future

Also new
this
year,
Ford
Motor
Company
will
offer
free
admission
to Belle
Isle for
the
first
1,000
vehicles
on the
night of
the Ford
Fireworks,
Monday,
June 27,
by
providing
the DNR
Recreation
Passports.
This
pass may
be used
at all
participating
Michigan
State
Parks
for the
remainder
of 2016.
As one
of The
Parade
Company’s
largest
and most
popular
fundraisers
of the
year,
The Ford
Fireworks
Rooftop
Party
offers
the best
seats in
the city
to view
the
fireworks.
Guests
attending
the
event
will
experience
live
music by
Detroit’s
own
Fifty
Amp
Fuse,
food by
Andiamo,
games,
giveaways
and more
for
adults
and kids
alike.
Guests
will
also
enjoy a
front
row seat
to the
finals
of Local
4’s
annual
Super
Singer
competition.
Four
semi-finalist
singers
chosen
from
hundreds
of video
auditions
including
Cherri
Black of
Redford,
Byron
Cancelmo
of West
Bloomfield,
Grace
Lee of
Rochester
and
Brianna
Seaborn
of
Detroit.
The
competition
will be
judged
by “The
Voice”
finalist
Laith
Al-Saadi,
Motown
Museum
CEO
Robin
Terry
and
Local
4’s
“Live in
the D”
hosts
Chuck
Gaidica
and Tati
Amare.
