HOME BUYING ASSISTANCE & EDUCATION FAIR

On Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1p.m, Premier Realty will host a free Housing Assistance & Education FAIR for potential buyers at Considine Recreation Center, located at 8904 Woodward Avenue. The goal is to attract potential home buyers looking to live in newly constructed homes located in Highland Park and surrounding areas. In an effort to reestablish Affordable Home Ownership, this unique community revitalization and educational opportunity, under the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP2) for the city of Highland Park will attract hundreds of potential buyers.

The Michigan Land Bank Fast Track Authority was awarded nearly $14 million for Highland Park, who is positioned to make a significant impact towards building viable communities. Able to offer below-market homes for sale, Shelbourne Developers, MSHDA, HUD and the City of Highland Park are taking a quantum leap towards stability by utilizing NSP2 funds to revitalize designated communities.

Through NSP2 funding:
Foreclosed and abandoned properties will be rehabilitated for buyers and renters,
Blighted properties will be demolished, and
Vacant properties will be acquired, and reassembled into buildable lots and development parcels

With lots available in three different styles and as homebuyers search for a step up in living, $225,000 is being invested in each of these 3-4 bedroom and energy efficient homes and are being sold for between $40,000 and $60,000! Interested buyers are encouraged to attend this Free-to-the-Public pre-qualifying event where they can visit with Housing Counselors, Credit Repair Specialists, Mortgage Lenders and receive first-hand information about the homes.

“We are excited to be part of such an exciting and meaningful effort to increase value while revitalizing sustainable neighborhoods that are ready to adapt to new opportunities,” says LaSchell Steward of Premier Realty.

Everyone who attends this event will be entered to win one of several raffle prizes, enjoy light refreshments and gain great insight on how having a job and workable credit could land them in one of these homes! Interested buyers can call 248.876.3036 for more information or by visiting www.highlandparknsp2.com.
