Charges
pending
on two
men
in
connection
with the
murders
of 4

Police
arrested
two men
Tuesday
in
connection
with the
murders
of four
Detroit
women,
which in
the case
of three
of them
who had
ties to
an
online
classifieds
website
featuring
escort
ads.
Authorities
also
executed
a search
warrant
at a
home in
Sterling
Heights,
an
official
said.
During
the
early
morning
hours on
May 1st,
around
6:00
a.m., in
the area
of 18
Mile and
Mound
Road, in
the city
of
Sterling
Heights,
Michigan,
two
black
males,
aged 24
and 32,
were
arrested
in
regards
to the
BackPage.com
Detroit
Police
investigation.
Cousins
Demesha
Hunt,
24, and
Renisha
Landers,
23, were
found
Dec. 19
in the
trunk of
a silver
or gray
2009
Chrysler
300
abandoned
between
two
vacant
homes in
the
14900
block of
Promenade.
The
bodies
of two
others,
Natasha
Curtis,
29, and
Vernitha
McCrary,
29, were
found
Dec. 25
in the
trunk of
McCrary's
white
1997
Buick
LeSabre
sedan in
the
14900
block of
Lannette.
The
vehicle
had been
set on
fire.
The two
locations
are only
a few
blocks
apart.
During
the
early
morning
hours on
May 1st,
around

participating
agencies
were the
Detroit
Police
Homicide
Redrum
Task
Force,
which
consist
of
members
from
Detroit
Police
Department,
Bureau
of
Alcohol,
Tobacco,
Firearms
&
Explosives,
Michigan
State
Police;
and the
Violent
Crime
Task
Force,
which
consist
of
members
from
Detroit
Police
Department,
Federal
Bureau
of
Investigation,
Drug
Enforcement
Administration,
Bureau
of
Alcohol
Tobacco,
Firearms
&
Explosives,
Michigan
State
Police,
Secret
Service,
Wayne
County
Sheriffs,
U.S.
Immigration
and
Customs
Enforcement,
Michigan
Department
of
Corrections,
Secret
Service,
and
Detroit
Public
Schools
Police
Department.
The
Sterling
Heights
Police
Department
also
provided
assistance.
DPD say
that
this is
an
active
and
ongoing
investigation.
