The Wellness Plan Employs Native Detroiter, Internal Medicine / Pediatrician Dr. Latisha Monique Malcom

Detroit, MI – The Wellness Plan  announce the start of Dr. Latisha Monique Malcom in the position of Family Practice Physician. Dr. Malcom has been assigned to The Wellness Plan’s Gateway Medical Center .

Dr. Malcom comes to The Wellness Plan with over seven years of professional experience. She has been employed by the Detroit Medical Group, P.L.L.C., for the past four years. She has also practiced at the Detroit Community Health Connection and at the DMC Health Centers – Detroit . She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan ; and her MD from Wayne State University ’s Medical School . She completed her residency at the DMC / Wayne State University School of Medicine Residency Program (Internal Medicine / Pediatrics Combined Degree Program). She is a Board Certified Diplomat in Internal Medicine. Dr. Malcom is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, and The Detroit Medical Society.

Dr. Malcom stated, "My philosophy is to provide quality medical services for those who can least afford to pay the rising cost of health care. My primary focus is on preventative health care for the entire family. I strive to give my patients competent and compassionate care through education and partnering to attain a personalized treatment plan. I find it a great honor and privilege to serve metropolitan Detroit ."
