combines
fitness,

DETROIT
- Modern
day
evangelism
can take
many
forms.
Lately
for
Detroit
native
Dr. Gina
Prince,
who
holds a
PH.D in
theology,
preaching
has come
not from
a
pulpit,
but
through
another
platform.
Over the
last
decade,
her
vehicle
for
spreading
the
gospel
has
landed
her
squarely
in the
modern
age,
with an
online
radio
show, a
massive
Facebook
following
and
YouTube
videos.
“I
started
off in
the
ministry,
and it
evolved
into
more
motivational,”
explains
Prince,
who
authored
the
book,
“Born
into
Sin,
Transformed
into
Destiny.”
The book
details
how
Prince
overcame
a
troubled
and
rebellious
life and
found
her way
to the
ministry.
But it
was her
personal
passion---getting
fit and
sharing
videos
of that
experience
with
exercise
on
social
media---that
has led
to the
latest
approach
to
spiritual
uplift.
On
October
8, 2016,
Dr.
Prince
will
release
in
Detroit
her
Health-N-Soul
Fitness
DVD,
which
combines
exercise
routines
with the
Good
Book.
“What’s
different
is tying
in the
inspiration
with the
motivation,”
explained
Dr.
Prince,
who
acknowledges
she’s
received
some
grief
from
other
ministers
over her
workout
garb in
videos.
“It’s
the
wholeness
of mind,
body and
soul;
challenging
yourself
to go
beyond
what you
think
you can
do,
while
surrendering
yourself
totally
to God.”
There’s
also a
Detroit
bent to
the DVD:
The
workout
video
will
debut
during
an
October
8th
launch
at
Bert’s
in
Eastern
Market,
and the
footage
was shot
over two
days in
the
city.
“As a
Certified
Professional
Trainer
for
almost
10 years
living
and
working
in the
Metro
Detroit
area, I
found
that
working
with Dr.
Prince
on the
fitness
video
was fun
and
exciting,”
noted
Altonio
Seahorn,
Jr. “She
made the
exercises
easy
enough
for a
beginner
and
challenging
enough
for
someone
like
myself.”
The DVD
eventually
will be
available
for
purchase
as a
live
stream.
The
October
8 event
will
take
place
from
6-midnight
and
include
free
food,
100 DVD
giveaways,
and
entertainment
including
Fast
Freddie,
D.J.
Anthony
Bond and
Comedians
Bill
Hill and
Nortrice
Banner.

“I
really
never
set out
to do a
fitness
DVD, but
it’s
really
driven
by
followers
on
social
media
who kept
expressing
that
seeing
the
exercise,
hearing
the
spiritual
message,
was
motivating,”
said
Prince.
