New Vice President will Oversee All Business Functions for the Detroit Lions and Ford Field

Detroit, MI – Robert Raymond has been selected as Vice President of Business Operations for the Detroit Lions and Ford Field. In this capacity, he will direct business functions for the organization and manage the following departments: Ticket Sales and Service; Suite Sales and Service; Corporate Partnerships; Marketing and Ford Field Public Relations; Broadcasting; Gameday Promotions; Youth Football; and Retail.

Raymond brings over 26 years of public relations, marketing, and sales experience in the sports industry to the position. Most recently, he was Vice-President Marketing and Ticket Sales for the Detroit Tigers. In that role, he successfully operated the marketing and ticket sales departments for the organization. Prior to his experience at the Detroit Tigers, he spent 11 years with Ladbroke Detroit Racecourse where his responsibilities included Public Relations Director and Marketing Director.

The comprehensive national search for the position included dozens of qualified candidates from every major sports league in the country. Raymond was chosen out of several candidates because of the depth of his experience in sales, marketing, and organizational leadership. The Detroit Tigers established a franchise record of selling three million tickets under Raymond’s leadership. “We are confident that Bob has the business acumen and leadership to head our Business Operations team,” expresses Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Lewand. “He will be a strong asset to our organization as we strive to build the great brands of the Detroit Lions and Ford Field.”

Raymond will begin his duties at Ford Field on April 11.
