DETROIT
(Tell Us

Watch
out Food
Channel
Network,
there’s
the
possibility
of
competition
from the
Ritzy
Reds
Livin’
Grand
Red
Hatters.
Skillets
were
smoking
and
ingredients
were
being
tossed
around
under
the
skillful
eye of
Chef
Leonardo
at the
Detroit
Seafood
Market
in
downtown
Detroit.
The
ladies
dressed
in their
finest
attire
of red,
purple
and pink
invaded
the
restaurant
for a
fun
evening
of wine
tasting
and
pairing
with
delicious
entrees
of Pan
Seared
Tilapia
and
Chicken
Stir Fry
with
ginger
teriyaki
glaze.
Sound
intriguing?
Just
imagine
starting
that
with an
Asian
Tuna
Stack.
The
stage
was set
and
aprons
began to
circulate
among
volunteers.
None of
that was
too
challenging
for the
ladies
and the
Chef.
Red
Hatter,
Temi
Akinwale
hosted
the
ladies’
event in
grand
style.
Co-Queen
Mums,
Betty
Shelton
of
Arizona
and
Beverly
Sneed of
Detroit
created
the
combination
of
chapters
to add
and keep
interest
for the
members.
They
will
soon
celebrate
five
years of
success.
Both
ladies
were
visions
of
absolute
elegance
in their
royal
purple
and red
attire.
The
evening
was a
whirlwind
of
entertainment,
cooking
techniques
and wine
pairing
information.
The
cooking
participants
were
serious
and
seemed
to enjoy
their
preparation
roles.
The
evening
concluded
with all
guests
receiving
beautiful
wine
bags
filled
with a
fine
bottle
of wine,
recipes,
a
special
invitation
from
Detroit
Seafood
Market,
and a
cooking
tool.
The most
surprising
was the
award of
the Iron
Chef
title
and gift
to proud
charter
member,
Norma K.
Dean.
All
members
truly
exhibited
their
motto of
LIVE
LAUGH
LOVE!
