“The Men
in
Black”
are back
and off
the
chain
stealing
the
number
one spot
at the
box
office!
The
cool
characters
of Men
in
Black's
swagger
was
powerful
enough
to knock
“The
Avengers”
out of
the top
spot at
the box
office.

DETROIT
(Tell Us

It’s
been ten
years
since
“Men in
Black 2”
and I
can
honestly
say that
the
third
and
final
installment
of the
series
“Men in
Black 3”
is the
best of
all the
three
films.
Once you
see the
film
you’ll
understand
why it’s
number
one at
the box
office
this
Memorial
Day
Holiday
weekend.
The
special
effects
are
phenomenal,
the
story
line was
tight
and the
3-D
effect
really
draws
you into
the
movie
unlike
“The
Avengers”
where
after
having
watched
it you
wonder
why it
was in
3-D
because
it
didn’t
add to
the
film.
Will
Smith
and
Tommy
Lee
Jones
are
holding
it down.
Smith as
Agent
Jay has
that
cool,
normal
but over
the top
demeanor,
we all
know and
love. It
always
seems
like a
bit of
the real
Will
Smith is
coming
through.
He gives
it to
you
straight
with no
chaser,
pouring
on the
charm,
wit and
jokes.
Tommy
Lee
Jones as
Agent K
is still
the
uptight
crotchety,
wise
teacher,
that
shows
barely
any
emotion
and
offers
no real
insight
into
what
makes
him tic,
or
what’s
going on
in his
life.
The
difference
with
this
movie is
we find
out why
Agent K
(Jones)
and
Agent J
(Smith)
are such
a good
team and
why
there’s
such a
strong
connection
between
this
oddball
couple
of
futuristic
crime
fighters.
One of
the
standouts
is the
villain
Boris
the
Animal
played
by
Jamaine
Clement.
He’s the
best and
worst
villain
I’ve
seen in
an
action
sci-fi
flick in
a long
time.
He’s
hideous
looking,
has
small
icky
alien
creatures
crawling
out of
his
hands
that can
kill you
if he
throws
them at
you. He
holds no
prisoners
and
wreaks
havoc on
anyone
he comes
in
contact
with. He
has a
history
with
Agent
Kay
(Jones)
and he’s
breaks
out of
prison
to even
the
score.
What’s
interesting
about
this
film is
that
Agent
Jay
(Smith)
has to
time
travel
back to
the
early
sixties
in the
early
stages
of the
M.I.B’s
agency’s
start.
Agent
Jay has
to get
to the
bottom
of
“Boris
the
Animal’s”
connection
to Agent
Kay
(Jones)
and
hopefully
stop him
so that
he won’t
destroy
the
world as
they
know it.
So from
this
point
Agent
Jay
(Smith)
meets
the
young
Agent
Kay
played
by Josh
Brolin
who
steals
the show
from the
moment
he comes
on film.
He’s
handsome
and
captures
the true
essence,
mannerisms
and
characteristics
of his
older
self. He
hits the
head on
the nail
with a
dead on
impersonation
making
you
believe
he’s a
younger
Agent
Kay.
“M.I.B.III”
is
exciting,
contemporary,
entertaining
and
electric!
You
don’t
want to
miss the
first 20
minutes
because
there
are some
powerful,
unimaginable
scenes
that
include
Nicole
Sherzinger
who
plays
“Boris
the
Animal’s”
girlfriend
that
keeps
you on
the edge
of your
seat.
This
movie is
action
packed
to the
inth
degree
with
unusual
alien
creatures,
some
posing
as
humans
and
shape
shifting
and
you’ll
also get
a dose
of new
weird
subcultures
that the
agents
are not
phased
by in
the
least.
Going
back to
the
early
sixties
really
sheds
some
light on
Agent K
(Jones)
and
gives
Agent
J(Smith)
some
real
insight
into all
the
things
he’s
never
known
about
his
partner
and he
discovers
some
things
about
why he’s
so
important
to Agent
K. The
time
traveling
sequences
really
tie
together
a lot of
loose
ends and
questions
that
fans
might’ve
had
about
the two
agent’s
background
and
relationship
and it’s
really
heartwarming.
This 3rd
movie
brings
in the
heart
and soul
that you
haven’t
seen
before
in the
series
because
it was
always
about
being
cool and
nonchalant
while
they
fight
off the
aliens
of the
world.
M.I.B.III
ties the
whole
series
of films
together.
You’ll
feel the
excitement
and have
some
draw
dropping
moments
but
you’ll
understand
why
there’s
such a
deep,
solid
connection
between
Agents
Kay
(Jones)
and Jay
(Smith).
This is
the best
movie
out of
the. I
give “M.I.B.”
5-out of
5 Stars.
