Linda Boston presents live in concert, "Permission: The Power of Being"

DETROIT - Detroit singer/songwriter Linda Boston will perform live, in concert her debut album entitled Permission: The Power of Being on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 7:30 P.M. at the Ford Community Performing Arts Center located at 15801 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, MI. The concert showcase will feature a special guest performance by multi-platinum artist Randy Scott; who served as one of the producers for “Permission” along with Jerome Harvey of Harvey Industries.

Boston promises to give concert goers a memorable experience as she takes them on a journey through her music. Although Boston has been singing and acting for over 20 years, “Permission” is her first CD and sure to impress all who attend.

“With the music on this CD, I wanted to create a vibration within,” says Boston. “I want to make a global impact with my sound. The inspirational sounds of piano and saxophone set the tone for the listeners to reflect on their lives and discover something new within.”

Permission: The Power of Being is the first in a CD in a trilogy. The album is a blend of gospel and inspirational jazz. The inspiration for the collection comes from Boston’s collective connectivity to the Creator of All Things, focusing on a person’s relationship with themselves as well as their relationship with the Creator. Boston’s music seeks to convey how people fit in to the universe.

Linda grew up in Chicago as part of the well-known gospel and Rhythm and Blues tutelage of the internationally known Von Freeman, Lamonte Boston (LB’s Machine), Lorna Boston, Luba Raashiek (Louis Knight) and the Lonie Walker Underground Wonder Bar families. She continues to lend her talent to her church choir as well as mentoring children through the VSA Michigan program, which advocates creativity among people with disabilities by creating an inclusive community where they may participate in, learn through, excel in, and enjoy the arts.

Tickets for the concert are $20 for general admission and $30 for VIP, which includes a special reception that begins at 5:30 P.M. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Ford Community Theater Box Office, Street Corner Music, Spiral Collective – Janet Jones, and Eric’s I’ve Been Framed Shop.
