Carl
Craig
will be
featured
on the
November
issue of
the
world’s
biggest
electronic
music,
and
dance
music
magazine
Mix Mag.
The
issue is
set to
be
released
this
October,
and Carl
Craig
will be
curating
contents
of the
magazine,
and
guest
editing.
Carl
Craig
released
his
first
track in
1989 and
from
that
time has
been a
strong
supporter
of
Detroit.
Over the
years he
has
released
music
through
aliases
such as
69,
Paperclip
People
Innerzone
Orchestra,
and
Urban
Tribe.
Craig’s
recording
label
Planet E
had
their
20th
anniversary
last
year,
and from
the
beginning
of his
career
he has
remained
faithful
to his
Detroit
roots.
As a
world
class
DJ,
artist
and
producer
Carl
Craig
made
significant
contribution
to the
Detroit
electronic
music
scene.
In early
years
Craig
served
as the
co-creator
and
artistic
director
of the
Detroit
Electronic
Music
Festival.
More
recently
Craig
created
The Carl
Craig
Foundation
where he
presented
a five
day
workshop
during
the
festival
to
expose
students
to sound
engineering,
music
festival
production,
record/music
production
and
musical
performance.
This
year’s
Movement
festival
showcased
a
tribute
to those
who have
shaped
the
cities
musical
past
with The
movement
and
Renovation
Kick Off
2012 and
featured
Craig as
a
performer.
