support

Michigan
Roundtable
for
Diversity
and
Inclusion
and
thousands
of
citizens
are
urged to
sign up
for 2010
Walk2gether
Michigan
– We are
still
recruiting
individual
walkers,
walk
team
captains
and
sponsors
to work
together
in the
fight
for
unity in
the
community.
The
event
will be
held
Sunday,
May 16,
2010,
registration
beginsat
noon,
the one
and
three
mile
walks
begin at
1PM
Walk
will
begin
and end
at the
Belle
Isle
Band
Shell on
Belle
Isle
across
the
bridge
at East
Grand
Blvd.
and East
Jefferson
Ave. in
Detroit
Walk2gether
Michigan
is the
Michigan
Roundtable’s
fastest
growing
fundraiser
and
brings
participants
together
to
demonstrate
their
support
for
diversity
and
inclusion.
This
year,
several
thousand
walkers
will
raise
money
for
initiatives
to
create
inclusive,
sustainable
communities
across
the
region
and
state by
asking
their
friends,
family
members,
co-workers,
and
neighbors
to
sponsor
them as
they
walk.
Through
walker
pledges,
corporate
sponsorships
and
matching
gifts,
the Walk
raises
essential
funds to
ensure
Michigan
Roundtable’s
important
programming
will
continue
to be
available
in the
community.
The Walk
will
take
place
rain or
shine
and the
first
1,000
individual
walkers
who
raise
$25 or
more
will be
eligible
for a
Michigan
Roundtable
Walk2gether
T-shirt.
Food
will be
provided
by MGM
Grand
Casino
and
activities
will be
planned
for
participants
who are
not
walking
with
entertainment
for all
ages.
Participants
of all
ages are
welcome
and
sponsorships
are
available.
