hold
52nd
Annual
Dinner
STERLING
HEIGHTS
- The
Guild of
St. John
Hospital
and
Medical
Center
will
continue
its
fundraising
efforts
with its
upcoming
52nd
Annual
Guild
Dinner.
This
annual
event
will be
held on
June13,
at
Penna’s
of
Sterling,
in
Sterling
Heights
and will
spotlight
the
unique
entertainment
of
comedian,
Kathleen
Madigan.
The
funds
raised
will
benefit
St. John
Hospital.
The
proceeds
are
designated
towards
the
Elaine
E. Blatt
Endoscopy
Department..
The
Guild
also
announced
the
individuals
who will
be
honored
at the
event.
They
are: Leo
Kalyvas,
Jr. of
Grosse
Pointe
Woods
who will
be
honored
with The
Guild’s
Lifetime
Achievement
Award;
Doug
Blatt of
Grosse
Pointe
Farms
who will
receive
the
Philanthropic
Services
Award;
Michael
F.
Prysak,
MD of
Grosse
Pointe
Farms,
who will
be
awarded
with The
Guild’s
Physician
of the
Year
Award;
and
Sharon
K.
Burke,
of
Grosse
Pointe
Farms
who will
receive
the Sr.
Verenice
McQuade
Distinguished
Service
Award.
Daniel
Roma of
Grosse
Pointe
is Chair
of this
year’s
Guild
Dinner,
and
David
Kesner
of
Grosse
Pointe
Woods is
vice-chair.
Doors
open to
the gala
affair
at 6:00
p.m. for
cocktails
and hors
d’oevres,
followed
by a
multi-course
dinner
at
7:30
p.m.

Guild is

volunteer
organization
that
played a
critical
role in
fundraising
to open
St. John
Hospital
in 1952
and
continues
to
support
SJH&MC
programs
today.

number
of
patients
by
providing
needed
medical
equipment,
state-of-the-art
technology
and

services.
