HOLIDAY BARGAIN SHOPPING HELPS CHARITY, LOCAL VENDORS

DETROIT, MI – Holiday shoppers can snatch up bargains from local vendors and also support a local non profit as part of a December 11, 2010 fundraiser.

Dozens of local vendors will be on hand to sell their goods during The “SHARe in the Holiday Bazaar” which will take place from 10-5 p.m. at the Northwest Activities Center, located at 18100 Meyers Road in Detroit. Part of the proceeds from the event will go to SHAR Inc., a Detroit-based non profit organization which helps individuals break drug addiction and live productive lives.

“This event is planned not only to support SHAR, but just as importantly to afford local businesses an opportunity to showcase and sell their products,” said Pat Scott of SHAR, who organized the event. “It is so important to support our homegrown vendors.”

This year’s vendors include: 6th Scentz, Accessorized Beautifully, Ardyss International, Art by Aliya, Art by Sewd, Avon/Soul Purpose, Crystal Tatum, Eloquent Accessories, LLC, Gadsen’s Best, KLF Gourmet Gift Enterprises, Made to Fit, Miss “Vs” Sweets & Treats, Nia Simone Jewelry, LLC, Party Lite, P.O.E.M. Human Services Development, Royal Lady Fashions, Sandy’s Quality Oils, Secretary on Wheels, Shindarien Designs, Ltd, Spaz Empire, LLC and Tracy Watson.

Founded in 1969, the mission of Self Help Addiction Rehabilitation is to transform individuals with addiction and co-occurring disorders into recovering people, capable of living a full and productive life. Through the treatment and other recovery support services delivered from 3 locations, SHAR serves approximately 2,500 individuals annually.
