Cruising 4 Kids takes a trip on the Ovation

DETROIT (Tell Us Det) - Cruising on the Detroit River is a great way to spend an evening. Cruising on the beautiful Ovation Yacht to raise money to support the North East Guidance Center is even better. Cheryl Coleman, President-CEO and Wayne Bradley, Board Chair along with other members of the organization partied with the guests as they raised more than $60,000 to help with the expensive cost of services.

The North East Guidance Center is filling some of the void left by the lack of facilities to provide necessary services for many psychological and physical disorders that keep adults and children from functioning at their highest capacity. Supporters were treated to delicious food, drink, entertainment and auction items throughout the evening.

Proceeds from this event made it possible to purchase a van that will be used to provide transportation to children and families who may otherwise miss the opportunities to receive the services provided. Detroiters are fortunate to have supporters who graciously give to others to keep our community moving forward.
