off 6th
Annual
Neighborhoods
Day
on
August 4

Detroit!
6th
annual
Neighborhoods
Day
takes
place on
Saturday,
August
4, to
unite
the
community
once
again.
The
organization
promotes
citizen
involvement,
community
awareness,
and
promotes
services
to help
the city
grow.
During
Neighborhoods
Day over
100
organizations
and
thousands
of
Detroiters
will
participate
in
community
service
, and
improvement
projects.
A news
conference
for
ARISE
Detroit!
Neighborhoods
day will
be held
11 a.m.
July, 18
at Harms
Elementary
School
in
southwest
Detroit.
Mayor
Dave
Bing,
and
Detroit
Public
School
officials
will
announce
details
for the
event
during
the
conference.
Encouraging
volunteerism,
and
uniting
the
community
to make
positive
changes
in the
city are
one of
the many
goals of
ARISE
Detroit.
Neighborhoods
Day will
have
entertainment
and will
spread
across
the city
giving
information
on how
to
contribute
to
hundreds
of
community
projects.

others.
