Piston's Rodney Stuckey, and partners open Inter-active Classroom at Blackwell Institute

DETROIT (Tell Us Det) - Rodney Stuckey, the Detroit Pistons, and presenting corporate partner PNC Bank will open a newly renovated literary arts classroom on Thursday, September 20 at Blackwell Institute, a Detroit Public Schools member of the PNC Grow-Up Great Program. The classroom make-over will feature new computers, freshly painted walls, new furniture and more.

Stuckey, the Detroit Pistons and PNC Bank also hosted a fitness clinic, donated school supplies and game tickets to students while Pistons performance groups provide engaging and exciting entertainment for the students during a special assembly. The new classroom marks the Detroit Pistons and PNC Bank’s 28th Live, Learn and Play Center, providing new technology, furniture and a refurbished classroom space.

A Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony was held in the Multi-Purpose Room with Rodney Stuckey distributing school supplies, followed by a fitness clinic. John Mason, air personality and Detroit Pistons Announcer; Rodney Stuckey, Detroit Pistons Player; Aaron Smith, Detroit Pistons Camps & Clinics Coach; Hooper, Detroit Pistons Mascot; Detroit Pistons Entertainment Team; and of course Blackwell Institute students were all in attendance.
