On February 3rd, 2006 at the Piston�s Hoop City, Mayor
Brenda Lawrence, Mayor of Southfield to �Welcome
Visitors to Detroit� with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
Joined
by MC Edward Foxworth III host of Street Beat on CBS/UPN,
this will prove to be a notable event with all-inclusive
VIP, celebrity appearances, souvenirs for attendees and
much more.
The �Welcome to Detroit � Celebration will be an
outstanding event to attend during Super Bowl week;
attendees will be excited to know that along with the
celebrity guests, they will also have the pleasure of
hearing sounds by DJ Gary Chandler with a special
appearance by the Hot BoyZ. Some already guaranteed
attendees are MC Breed, The Dayton Family, Bootleg, Loot
75, Kid Rock and Royce da 5 9. This event will include
an evening of partying, excitement and extremely
unforgettable to those in attendance.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to the
TelcomPioneers to support their efforts in assisting
Homeless individuals in the Detroit Area enjoy the
holidays. The TelecomPioneers is a non-profit 501c3
organization existing of more than 50,000 SBC/AT&T
employees, retirees and family who contribute to the
improvement of the community.
