–
Greektown
Casino-Hotel
today
unveiled
its
newly
redesigned
third
floor,
including
“THE
FRINGE”
bar and
Super
Pit
table
game
area.
Greektown
Casino-Hotel's
CEO Mike
Puggi
revealed
changes
to the
media
during a
press
conference
on
September
23, 2011
in the
casino's
Eclipz
Lounge.
“We are
making
significant
investments
in new
gaming
and
dining
options,
customer
service
and
parking
options
as part
of our
vision
and
commitment
to truly
deliver
on our
reputation
as one
of
Detroit’s
premiere
entertainment
destinations,”
Puggi
said.
The
original
casino
opened
in
November
of 2000,
so
changes
have
definitely
been in
order.
One new
gaming
area
called
"The
Super
Pit" is
sporting
luster
and a
view
that
allows
the
guests
to see
the many
strategically
placed
gaming
tables
at a
single
glance.
Dealers
will be
waiting
to
engage
players
in
various
types of
choice
games
from
Black
Jack to
the
Table
Roulette
Wheel.
The
other
area
getting
a new
facelift
is The
Fringe.
This
sports
theme
area has
televisions
placed
around
for
viewing
your
favorite
sports
and
enjoying
your
favorite
beverage.
Video
Poker
machines
have
been set
into the
bar to
entertain
you as
you
wager
for the
big win.

Greektown
Casino-Hotel's
CEO Mike
Puggi
said,
“Stay
tuned,
This is
just the
beginning
of a new
and
better
Greektown
Casino-Hotel
entertainment
experience.”

Puggi
also
announced
that
Duffey
Petrosky,
a
full-service
marketing
communications
agency,
would
hold an
online
Greektown
Casino-Hotel
Advertising
Casting
Call
over the
next
several
weeks.
Visitors
to the
casino
will be
invited
to cast
their
comments,
that
could
very
well
wind up
as a
part of
the new
advertising
campaign
currently
under
development.
“Since
we are
the
authentic
Detroit
gaming
experience
in town,
our
agency
thought
it only
appropriate
to
invite
real
Detroiters
to be
part of
the
campaign,”
Puggi
said.
“The
online
Casting
Call
will
invite
people
to tell
us why
they
think
Greektown
Casino-Hotel
is a
special
place.”
The
public
will get
a chance
to vote
on the
best
submissions.
And
selected
winners
will be
part of
the new
Greektown
Casino-Hotel
advertising
campaign
which
includes
TV and
radio
commercials,
online
advertising
and
videos,
print
and
outdoor
advertising
and
more.”

The
Eclipz
Lounge
with its
stunning

the
always
bustling
Monroe
Street
is
located
right
off the
casino
floor
for easy
access
between
your hot
gaming
action.

happy
hour,

The
excitement
of the
day was
enhanced
by
allowing
guest
and
members
of the
media to
taste
test four
new bar
creations
to get a
consensus
for what
will
become
the
casino's
'Signature
Drink'.
Samplings
of a
Sparkling
Lemonade,
Cherry
Cola,
Detroit
Cooler
and
Orange
Cream
were
treats
rather
than
chores.
After
votes
were
tallied,
the
Detroit
Cooler
won top
billing.
If you
feel
adventurous,
try the
blend of
‘Rootbeer,
Vanilla
Vodka
and
Ginger
Ale.’ It
was
tasty,
but not
as
refreshing
as the
Sparkling
Lemonade
in the
opinion
of this
writer.
Greektown
Casino-Hotel
renovations
and
upgrades
get the
winning
vote by
all in
attendance.
“Stay
tuned,”
Puggi
promised,
“This is
just the
beginning
of a new
and
better
Greektown
Casino-Hotel
entertainment
experience.”
