school
uniform
vouchers
from
Foreman
Mills
DETROIT
(Tell Us
Det)
- Forman
Mills, a
value-based
discount
department
store
provided 100
vouchers
to Detroit-area
students
for
uniforms
this
school
year.
On
Tuesday,
Sept. 1,
nearly
100
pre-identified
youth in
the
Lutheran
Social
Services
of
Michigan’s
foster
care
program
had the
opportunity
to visit
the
Forman
Mills
Warren
and
Conner
store
on
Detroit's
eastside,
with a
parent
or
guardian
to
redeem
$15
vouchers
to be
used
toward
the
purchase
of
school
uniforms.
“We
wanted
to
ensure
that
students
in the
community
have the
opportunity
to walk
into
school
on the
first
day
feeling
confident
and
ready to
learn,”
said
Rick
Forman,
president
and CEO
of
Forman
Mills.
“We are
proud to
support
foster
parents
as they
prepare
to send
their
children
back to
school.”

partnered
with

“It is a
great
help to
our
foster

It’s
equally
satisfying
to know
the
children
will
have a
new
back-to-school
outfit
that is
certain
to boost
their
self-esteem.”
