SCION JOINS MYSPACE, RED BULL, BEATPORT, VITAMINWATER AS NATIONAL SPONSOR OF MOVEMENT 08 – DETROIT’S ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL

Detroit – Paxahau, producers of Movement 08 – Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival, announce Scion will be the event’s official automotive sponsor. Scion and Movement 08 provide a synergistic appeal to electronic music fans who recognize the importance of being a part of this cultural phenomenon.

In addition to Scion, the festival has garnered a great deal of sponsorship attention from influential companies and brands including MySpace, Red Bull, Beatport and vitaminwater. Other key sponsors include Resident Advisor, an online magazine devoted to dance music and club culture, Real Detroit Weekly, Garden Fresh, Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace, Moo Moo’s Cuisine, and Sony Playstation.

Scion offers three models: the iconic xB urban utility vehicle, the tC sports coupe, and the xD five-door subcompact. Scion employs “Pure Price,” encourages personalization, utilizes groundbreaking internet advertising and marketing, and supports the creative community to engage trendsetting youth.

Movement 08 – Detroit’s Electronic Music Festival will be held in Downtown Detroit’s Hart Plaza during Memorial Day Weekend – May 24-26, 2008.
