Detroit Jazz Festival is seeking volunteers for Labor Day weekend event

DETROIT - If you love music, people, the hustle and bustle of the entertainment business and giving back to the community, the largest FREE jazz festival in the world wants you!

The 2012 Detroit Jazz Festival takes place on Labor Day weekend, August 31-September 3.

Now in its 33rd year, the festival takes place over several city blocks in downtown Detroit - from Hart Plaza to Campus Martius – with five stages and 100 acts over four days. The Detroit Jazz Festival is widely known as one of the premier jazz festivals in North America, thanks in large part to the spirit, dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Working in all aspects of the festival, volunteers help create a safe, clean and enjoyable weekend-long celebration of jazz.

We are looking for support in backstage, transportation, Keep-It-Free/information kiosks, program sales and more!

Volunteers receive a special t-shirt, an invitation to the annual thank you party and the best seat in town for an earful of great music.

Volunteer and become part of the Jazz Festival Family!
