bustle
of the
entertainment
business

giving
back to
the
community,
the
largest
FREE
jazz
festival
in the
world
wants
you!
The 2012
Detroit
Jazz
Festival
takes
place on
Labor
Day
weekend,
August
31-September
3.
Now in
its 33rd
year,
the
festival
takes
place
over
several
city
blocks
in
downtown
Detroit
- from
Hart
Plaza to
Campus
Martius
– with
five
stages
and 100
acts
over
four
days.
The
Detroit
Jazz
Festival
is
widely
known as
one of
the
premier
jazz
festivals
in North
America,
thanks
in large
part to
the
spirit,
dedication
and hard
work of
our
volunteers.
Working
in all
aspects
of the
festival,
volunteers
help
create a
safe,
clean
and
enjoyable
weekend-long
celebration
of jazz.
We are
looking
for
support
in
backstage,
transportation,
Keep-It-Free/information
kiosks,
program
sales
and
more!
Volunteers
receive
a
special
t-shirt,
an
invitation
to the
annual
thank
you
party
and the
best
seat in
town for
an
earful
of great
music.
